A job board that pays it forward

Happily Employed is a volunteer-run platform where real people share real jobs.
No algorithms. No ads. Just opportunities you won’t find in a typical search.

It’s not about fancy tech.
It’s about people helping people.

Job seekers stumble across opportunities every day—some public, some hidden, some just not the right fit for them. Instead of letting those roles go to waste, we pass them on.

How it works

Share what you find
Job seekers spot listings all the time. If it’s not for you, it might be perfect for someone else. Pass it on and help someone get hired faster.

1

Surface the hidden jobs
Not every role is online. Some come through word of mouth, private groups, or random conversations. Share those hidden gems and make them visible.

2

Discover real work, on your terms
Looking for a freelance gig? A part-time contract? A foot in the door? This is a space to find real, paid work that fits your life.

3

Office with multiple employees working at desks with computers, illuminated by hanging light bulbs in a modern industrial-style room.

About the mission

Hi, I’m Ainsley - a senior marketer, job seeker, and the person behind this project.

Happily Employed started out of frustration. I was applying to roles, getting ghosted, and watching my confidence chip away email by email. Along the way, I kept finding job ads that weren’t right for me but I knew they could be perfect for someone else. And I kept thinking: why isn’t there an easy way to share these?

So I built one.

This is a not-for-profit, people-powered job board. It runs on community tips, word of mouth, and the belief that helping someone else takes so little and means so much.

There’s no funding behind this. No company. Just me, a laptop, and a deep belief that we can make the job hunt less isolating, one opportunity at a time.

Thanks for being here.

Thanks for caring.

And if you ever come across a job that isn’t right for you - I hope you’ll pay it forward.
